Pain Killers In Your Kitchen!

This beautiful little piece of info which I received it via e-mail is too good to keep to myself, so I thought I would share it with you.

Some of these are better than others, but they're ALL better than pharmaceuticals. Just make sure you get them organicand non-genetically modified. Make sure your water is highly pure and spiritualized. Make sure your honey is raw and organic. Honey that has been melted with any temperature over about 110 degrees fahrenheit has killed the enzymes, and then it becomes toxic. But raw, it's one of the greatest medicines . . .

Make muscle pain a memory with ginger
When Danish researchers asked achy people to jazz up their diets with ginger, it eased muscle and joint pain, swelling and stiffness for up to 63 percent of them within two months. Experts credit ginger’s potent compounds called gingerols, which prevent the production of pain-triggering hormones. The study-recommended dose: Add at least 1 teaspoon of dried ginger or 2 teaspoons of chopped ginger to meals daily.

Cure a toothache with cloves
Got a toothache and can’t get to the dentist? Gently chewing on a clove can ease tooth pain and gum inflammation for two hours straight, say UCLA researchers. Experts point to a natural compound in cloves called eugenol, a powerful, natural anesthetic. Bonus: Sprinkling a ¼ teaspoon of ground cloves on meals daily may also protect your ticker. Scientists say this simple action helps stabilize blood sugar, plus dampen production of artery-clogging cholesterol in as little as three weeks.

Heal heartburn with cider vinegar
Sip 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar mixed with 8 ounces of water before every meal, and experts say you could shut down painful bouts of heartburn in as little as 24 hours. “Cider vinegar is rich in malic and tartaric acids, powerful digestive aids that speed the breakdown of fats and proteins so your stomach can empty quickly, before food washes up into the esophagus, triggering heartburn pain,” explains Joseph Brasco, M.D., a gastroenterologist at the Center for Colon and Digestive Diseases in Huntsville, AL.

Erase earaches with garlic
Painful ear infections drive millions of Americans to doctors’ offices every year. To cure one fast, just place two drops of warm garlic oil into your aching ear twice daily for five days. This simple treatment can clear up ear infections faster than prescription meds, say experts at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Scientists say garlic’s active ingredients (germanium, selenium, and sulfur compounds) are naturally toxic to dozens of different pain-causing bacteria. To whip up your own garlic oil gently simmer three cloves of crushed garlic in a half a cup of extra virgin olive oil for two minutes, strain, then refrigerate for up to two weeks, suggests Teresa Graedon, Ph.D., co-author of the book, Best Choices From The People’s Pharmacy. For an optimal experience, warm this mix slightly before using so the liquid will feel soothing in your ear canal.

Chase away joint and headache pain with cherries
Latest studies show that at least one in four women is struggling with arthritis, gout or chronic headaches. If you’re one of them, a daily bowl of cherries could ease your ache, without the stomach upset so often triggered by today’s painkillers, say researchers at East Lansing ’s Michigan State University . Their research reveals that anthocyanins, the compounds that give cherries their brilliant red color, are anti-inflammatories 10 times stronger than ibuprofen and aspirin. “Anthocyanins help shut down the powerful enzymes that kick-start tissue inflammation, so they can prevent, as well as treat, many different kinds of pain,” explains Muraleedharan Nair, Ph.D., professor of food science at Michigan State University . His advice: Enjoy 20 cherries (fresh, frozen or dried) daily, then continue until your pain disappears.

Prevent PMS with yogurt
Up to 80 percent of women will struggle with premenstrual syndrome and its uncomfortable symptoms, report Yale researchers. The reason: Their nervous systems are sensitive to the ups and downs in estrogen and progesterone that occur naturally every month. But snacking on 2 cups of yogurt a day can slash these symptoms by 48 percent, say researchers at New York ’s Columbia University . “Yogurt is rich in calcium, a mineral that naturally calms the nervous system, preventing painful symptoms even when hormones are in flux,” explains Mary Jane Minkin, M.D., a professor of gynecology at Yale University.

Tame chronic pain with turmeric
Studies show turmeric, a popular East Indian spice, is actually three times more effective at easing pain than aspirin, ibuprofen or naproxen, plus it can help relieve chronic pain for 50 percent of people struggling with arthritis and even fibromyalgia, according to Cornell researchers. That’s because turmeric’s active ingredient, curcumin, naturally shuts down cyclooxygenase 2, an enzyme that churns out a stream of pain-producing hormones, explains nutrition researcher Julian Whitaker, M.D. and author of the book,Reversing Diabetes. The study-recommended dose: Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of this spice daily onto any rice, poultry, meat or vegetable dish.

End endometrial pain with oats
The ticket to soothing endometriosis pain could be a daily bowl of oatmeal. Endometriosis occurs when little bits of the uterine lining detach and grow outside of the uterus. Experts say these migrating cells can turn menstruation into a misery, causing so much inflammation that they trigger severe cramping during your period, plus a heavy ache that drags on all month long. Fortunately, scientists say opting for a diet rich in oats can help reduce endometrial pain for up to 60 percent of women within six months. That’s because oats don’t contain gluten, a trouble-making protein that triggers inflammation in many women, making endometriosis difficult to bear, explains Peter Green, M.D., professor of medicine at Colombia University .

Soothe foot pain with salt
Experts say at least six million Americans develop painful ingrown toenails each year. But regularly soaking ingrown nails in warm salt water baths can cure these painful infections within four days, say scientists at California ’s Stanford University . The salt in the mix naturally nixes inflammation, plus it’s anti-bacterial, so it quickly destroys the germs that cause swelling and pain. Just mix 1 teaspoon of salt into each cup of water, heat to the warmest temperature that you can comfortably stand, and then soak the affected foot area for 20 minutes twice daily, until your infection subsides.

Prevent digestive upsets with pineapple
Got gas? One cup of fresh pineapple daily can cut painful bloating within 72 hours, say researchers at California ’s Stanford University . That's because pineapple is natually packed with proteolytic enzymes, digestive aids that help speed the breakdown of pain-causing proteins in the stomach and small intestine, say USDA researchers.

Relax painful muscles with peppermint
Suffering from tight, sore muscles? Stubborn knots can hang around for months if they aren’t properly treated, says naturopath Mark Stengler, N.D., author of the book, The Natural Physician’s Healing Therapies. His advice: Three times each week, soak in a warm tub scented with 10 drops of peppermint oil. The warm water will relax your muscles, while the peppermint oil will naturally soothe your nerves -- a combo that can ease muscle cramping 25 percent more effectively than over-the-counter painkillers, and cut the frequency of future flare-ups in half, says Stengler.

Give your back some TLC with grapes
Got an achy back? Grapes could be the ticket to a speedy recovery. Recent studies at Ohio State University suggest eating a heaping cup of grapes daily can relax tight blood vessels, significantly improving blood flow to damaged back tissues (and often within three hours of enjoying the first bowl). That’s great news because your back’s vertebrae and shock-absorbing discs are completely dependent on nearby blood vessels to bring them healing nutrients and oxygen, so improving blood flow is essential for healing damaged back tissue, says Stengler.

Wash away pain injuries with water
Whether it’s your feet, your knees or your shoulders that are throbbing, experts at New York ’s Manhattan College , say you could kick-start your recovery in one week just by drinking eight 8-ounce glasses of water daily. Why? Experts say water dilutes, and then helps flush out, histamine, a pain-triggering compound produced by injured tissues. “Plus water is a key building block of the cartilage that cushions the ends of your bones, your joints’ lubricating fluid, and the soft discs in your spine,” adds Susan M. Kleiner, Ph.D., author of the book, The Good Mood Diet. “And when these tissues are well-hydrated, they can move and glide over each other without causing pain.” One caveat: Be sure to measure your drinking glasses to find out how large they really are before you start sipping, she says. Today’s juice glasses often hold more than 12 ounces, which means five servings could be enough to meet your daily goal.

Heal sinus problems with horseradish
Latest studies show sinusitis is the nation’s number one chronic health problem. And this condition doesn’t just spur congestion and facial pain, it also makes sufferers six times more likely to feel achy all-over. Horseradish to the rescue! According to German researchers, this eye-watering condiment naturally revs up blood flow to the sinus cavities, helping to open and drain clogged sinuses and heal sinus infections more quickly than decongestant sprays do. The study-recommended dose: One teaspoon twice daily (either on its own, or used as a sandwich or meat topping) until symptoms clear.

Beat bladder infections with blueberries
Eating 1 cup of blueberries daily, whether you opt for them fresh, frozen or in juice form, can cut your risk of a urinary tract infection (UTIs) by 60 percent, according to researchers at New Jersey’s Rutgers University. That's because blueberries are loaded with tannins, plant compounds that wrap around problem-causing bacteria in the bladder, so they can’t get a toehold and create an infection, explains Amy Howell, Ph.D. a scientist at Rutgers University.

Heal mouth sores with honey
Dab painful canker and cold sores with unpasteurized honey four times daily until these skin woes disappear, and they’ll heal 43 percent faster than if you use a prescription cream, say researchers at the Dubai Specialized Medical Center in the United Arab Emirates Raw honey’s natural enzymes zap inflammation, destroy invading viruses and speed the healing of damaged tissues, say the study authors.

Reduce breast pain with flax
In one recent study, adding 3 tablespoons of ground flax to their daily diet eased breast soreness for one in three women within 12 weeks. Scientists credit flax’s phytoestrogens, natural plant compounds that prevent the estrogen spikes that can trigger breast pain. More good news: You don’t have to be a master baker to sneak this healthy seed into your diet. Just sprinkle ground flax on oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce or add it to smoothies and veggie dips.

Tame leg cramps with tomato juice
At least one in five people regularly struggle with leg cramps. The culprit? Potassium deficiencies, which occur when this mineral is flushed out by diuretics, caffeinated beverages or heavy perspiration during exercise. But sip 10 ounces of potassium-rich tomato juice daily and you'll not only speed your recovery, you'll reduce your risk of painful cramp flare-ups in as little as 10 days, say UCLA researchers.

Ginger Lemongrass Tea

Haven't been feeling well for the past 2 weeks and at the same time I felt bloated on and off.  It's quite uncomfortable.  Then it crossed my mind that I should make Ginger Lemongrass Tea as this is a very popular natural home remedy for bloating and indigestion.  It is very easy to prepare and delicious too!

Ingredients : (adjust to your taste)
- 16 stalks of lemongrass (take the white stems, washed, slit and crushed)
- 3 thumbsized unpeeled old ginger (washed and crushed)
- some pandan leaves/screwpines (washed and knotted)
- some honeycomb sugar (to taste)
- some lemon juice
- enough water

Method :
1)  Boil all the ingredients (except the pandan leaves and lemon juice) in a pot of water for about 10 minutes.
2)  Then, lower the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
3)  Add pandan leaves and continue simmer for another 10 minutes.
4)  Serve it with lemon juice.
Note :  For bloating or indigestion, it is advisable to drink it hot.
You can also chill it for a refreshing drink.
This slice of lemon doesn't look nice because I only realized I need a slice of it for photography after I had squeezed the juice! And it was also the last lemon I had on that day, hehehe...
Do enjoy :)

Natural Cure and Relief for Cough & Sore Throat

With the current heat wave and extreme hot weather in Malaysia, we are advised to reduce outdoor strenuous activities and stay indoor.  It is advisable to drink plenty of water to prevent any illnesses.  Besides water, any refreshing dessert is also recommended.  One of the desserts which I used to make for my family is Steamed Orange.  Besides refreshing and good for body heatiness, Steamed Orange is also a grandma home remedy for cough and sore throat which is quite well-known among the locals in Malaysia. It is delicious too!
For a start, you need a fresh orange.  I used Sunkist orange.

Wash it thoroughly.
Cut off the top part of the orange.  Do not discard the top part.
Use a small knife to make a small hole enough for the salt.

Add 1/2 tsb of salt into the hole.  I used sea salt.
Cover the top part of the orange.  Use a toothpick to hold the orange together.  Place it in a small bowl.
Steam it for 15 to 20 minutes depending on the fire.  You will know that it is ready when the fragrant of the orange fills your kitchen.
The steamed orange is ready.
Look at the juice!  So tempting!
Eat the flesh and the juice.  You will love it!
Serve this Steamed Orange to your family as a refreshing dessert.  You can serve it warm or chilled.  Refrigerate it if you like it chilled.
Hope you all like it.  Do give it a try!

Papaya for Uric Acid Problem !!!

Just try it if you've got uric acid after all no harm done.
This is a really effective, just mix green papaya cubes to the ordinary green tea, my cousin-brother tried and found it very effective. I have also shared with a friend with gout to try this (his "toe joints" started to deform), after a week of drinking this formula there is significant improvement, and
after two weeks the toe joints heal and revert to normal state. It is almost three years now, the joint pain is gone, but he maintains the intake between 1-3 times monthly to avoid relapse.

Other friends suffering from years of gout problem have also recovered.
It is good for all, even those without gout.Good formula! Do share with the people in need! An improved sequence by Professor Lai from the China School of Pharmacy :
Cut green papaya into small cubes, place into the water, bring to boil, then add tea leaves, similar to the tea-making process.

Clinical tests show that this brings better effects for treatment of gout, subject to frequent drinking of this formula.

Mr. Liu Qing, Chief of the Rende Town in Tainan, was suffering for years from severe stomach pain around the posterior wall of stomach.
He used green papaya as a tea pot to prepare the family tea daily, after a month, his chronic disease condition was much improved.

His family members with high uric acid were also healed by the same papaya tea.
For this Mr. Liu planted a lot of papaya to share with relatives and friends with similar sickness.
According to Mr. Liu, in selecting the green papaya as tea pot, pick those the shape of which is fat and short, with larger capacity.

Cut off the top part of the papaya, clear away the seeds, open a small hole at the upper side wall to facilitate pouring of tea.

Create a small ventilation hole at top cover, put in the tea leaves, pour in boiling water, place the top cover back onto the papaya, you may also use the toothpicks to secure the top cover.

Similar to normal process of preparing tea.
Liu like to use Oolong tea as the taste is good.
He was pleasantly surprised that the stomach pains he suffered for many years was healed after a month of drinking tea from the green papaya pot, without taking any other medication.
He passed some green papaya leaves to a friend who worked at a Medical Center to test and analyse the content.
The tests confirmed that the healthy enzyme present in papaya is beneficial to human health.
Now as papaya in Mr. Liu's orchard is yielding suitable size fruits, he would share the fruits with family and friends.
Xu Fuchang, an experienced papaya farmer, said green papaya means to unripe papaya, where the skin is still green in colour.
Generally, the papaya takes about four months to fully mature and ripen, but the healing effect would be lost after it is fully ripe.
Green papaya should be harvested when the papaya is approximately three months old, when the fruit is still firm, and the "papaya milk" contains high papaya enzyme and other healthy ingredients.

Not only the green papaya can be used in tea drinking, you may also cut them into cubes, and boil with the ribs, or even slicing the green papaya into fine long pieces and fried with garlic, very tasty, and no adverse effects on the human body.

Natural Home Remedies for Bladder Infections

Millions of women will suffer from a bladder infection—also know as a urinary tract infection or cystitis—in their lifetime, and many will suffer from repeat infections. Although men can get urinary tract infections as well, 90 percent of those affected are women. Blame it on anatomy; the urethra, the tube which transports urine and connects the bladder to the outside world, is shorter in women than it is in men and is also located in close proximity to both the vagina and anus, making it easy for bacteria to enter the urethra and infect the bladder.

Cystitis symptoms are no walk in the park. When the bladder is infected, its lining becomes inflamed, creating the feeling of an urgent need to pee all the time. Urination is accompanied by pain and burning, and often the bladder doesn’t completely empty, leaving the person again with the constant need to pee.

E. coli bacteria are the most common cause of bladder infections, and they can get there through a number of circumstances. Being sexually active can increase the risk of contracting a bladder infection as bacteria from the vagina can be massaged into the urethra during intercourse. Certain forms of birth control can also increase risk. If not fitted properly, diaphragms can put pressure on and bruise the bladder, increasing its chances of infection; the chemicals in spermicidal forms birth control can also upset the levels of good bacteria in the vagina and urethra. Menopause puts women at a higher risk as well; decreased estrogen levels can change the urinary tract during menopause, leaving it vulnerable to infection.

Cranberries prevent bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall and starting an infection.

Antibiotics are also a leading cause of urinary tract infections, especially repeat infections. Most women with a bladder infection will be prescribed antibiotics as treatment, but because antibiotics kill off all bacteria in the body, both good and bad, they inhibit the body’s natural means of staving off infection. Bypass the antibiotics and treat your bladder infection naturally with these seven natural home remedies.

Cranberry juice:
This well-known home remedy for bladder infections has earned its stripes. Studies have shown that cranberry juice prevents bacteria from latching onto bladder walls and starting an infection. Drink at least one glass daily to prevent a bladder infection, or several glasses a day if you already have an infection.

Water:
It’s essential to drink as much water as you can when suffering from a bladder infection. The more water you drink, the more you’ll have to pee, and the faster your body can flush the bacteria out of your system.

Vitamin C acidifies urine and inhibits the growth of bacteria in much the same way as cranberry juice. Vitamin C can also enhance immune function to help fight off an existing infection. Take 1,000 mg four to five times daily.

Baking soda can neutralize acidic urine and help ease the burning sensation associated with bladder infections. Mix ½ teaspoon baking soda into a glass of water and drink.

Garlic and oregano oil both have strong antibacterial and antiviral properties that make it beneficial when fighting an infection. Garlic has more medicinal properties when eaten raw. Take 500 mg of oregano oil four to five times daily.

Probiotics:
If you’re already taking antibiotics for your bladder infection, supplement your diet with probiotic-rich foods (or capsules). These friendly bacteria can prevent harmful bacteria from growing and can reduce your chances of a repeat infection.

Additional tips:

• Don’t hold it! If you gotta go, you gotta go. Holding urine in can back up bacteria in your system.

• Wipe front to back so as not to smear bacteria into the urethra.

• Avoid coffee, tea, alcohol, soft drinks and other beverages that may contain citrus juices and caffeine, which can irritate your bladder and increase the need to pee.

Update

Originally native to southern Mexico and now cultivated in many tropical countries (including Brazil ,India , Indonesia , South Africa , Vietnam and Sri Lanka ), the papaya plant has been touted by traditional healers for centuries as a source of powerful medicine. Not only is papaya fruit delicious and loaded with vitamins and phytochemicals, but other parts of the plant have been used historically to treat health problems too.

Now University of Florida (UF) researcher Dr. Nam Dang and his colleagues inJapan have announced new evidence that the papaya fights cancer cells. In fact, they discovered that an extract made from dried papaya leaves produced a dramatic anti-cancer effect against a broadrange of tumors grown in the laboratory — including cancers of the cervix, breast, liver, lung and pancreas.
The study, recently published in theJournal of Ethnopharmacology, not only showed that papaya has a direct anti-tumor effect on a variety of malignancies, but it also documented for the first time that papaya leaf extract increases the production of key signaling molecules called Th1-type cytokines.

That’s important because this regulation of the immune system raises the strong possibility that the use of papaya could help the body’s own immune system to overcome cancers. In addition, it suggests papaya could be helpful in treating or preventing other health problems such as inflammation and autoimmune diseases.

The research team found that papaya’s anti-cancer effects were strongest when cancer cells received larger doses of the papaya leaf extract — yet, unlike many mainstream cancer therapies, there were no toxic effects at all on normal cells.

In a statement to the media, Dr. Dang pointed out that the ability of papaya extract to stop cancer without toxicity is consistent with reports from indigenous populations in Australia and in his nativeVietnam .
“Based on what I have seen and heard in a clinical setting, nobody who takes this extract experiences demonstrable toxicity; it seems like you could take it for a long time — as long as it is effective,” stated Dr. Dang, who is a professor of medicine and the medical director of the UF Shands Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office.

In all, the UF scientists exposed 10 different types of cancer cell cultures to four strengths of papaya leaf extract. When they measured the effect of the extract after 24 hours, the papaya had slowed the growth of tumors in all the cultures.

What exactly does papaya do to halt malignancies? To find out, the researchers focused on a T-lymphoma cancer cell line. They discovered that at least one of the mechanisms that makes papaya extract a potent anti-cancer weapon is the natural compound’s ability to cause malignant cells — but not normal ones — to die.

The researchers hope to follow up these experiments by eventually testing the papaya cancer treatment in animal and human studies. Up next for Dr. Dang and his colleagues: they’ve applied to patent a process to distill the papaya extract through the University of Tokyo and they are working to identify all the specific compounds in the papaya extract that are active against cancer cells.

To this end, Dr. Dang has partnered with Hendrik Luesch, a UF Shands Cancer Center professor of medicinal chemistry who is an expert in the identification and use of natural products for medical purposes. Dr. Luesch recently discovered yet another natural cancer fighter — a coral reef compound that blocks cancer cell growth in cell lines.

Health Benefits
Sweet and tasty papaya makes an excellent breakfast and is good in fruit salads. It can be blended with yogurt to make a delicious digestive smoothie. It also works well as an added ingredient in green salads. It tastes particularly good with lemon juice squeezed over it. The health benefits of papaya include heart disease and cancer prevention, cold and flu prevention and healthy digestions.

Papaya Nutrition
Papaya is an excellent source of vitamin C, with one medium papaya containing about 150% of the Daily value. It is also a good source of vitamin A, in beta-carotene form. It is also a good source of vitamin K, vitamin E and folate as well as the mineral potassium.

Papaya for Heart Disease Prevention
One of the health benefits of papaya is related to the fact that it contains high doses of three vitamins involved in heart disease prevention- vitamin A, vitamin E and beta-carotene. In addition, the high levels of folate found in papayas can help lower levels of the heart disease promoting amino acid homocysteine.

Papaya for Cold and Flu Prevention
Foods high in vitamin C, such as papaya, help boost the immune system. Vitamin C has been shown to help ward off symptoms of influenza A, the common cold and pneumonia. Vitamin A provides additional immune system support.

Papaya for Neural Tube Defect Prevention
Because papayas are rich in folate, they have applications in preventing neural tube defects. Eating folate-rich foods pre-pregnancy and during pregnancy can help the fetal spinal column to develop normally.

Papaya for Digestive Health
Papaya contains special digestive enzymes, called papain and chymopapain, which help digest proteins. Papaya is often used as a detoxification food and to give the digestive system a break, because it is so rich in its own digestive enzymes. Papaya also contains anti-oxidant vitamins C and E as well as folate, all of which can help prevent colon cancer.

Papaya Leaf Papaya Tree

Papaya/Pawpaw apaya (Carica papaya) originates from tropical American
countries. Today Papaya is cultivated in most tropical countries around the
world.

The Papaya with the Latin name carica papaya is called Paw Paw in Australia and New Zealand . This is in no way related to the Paw Paw in North America that has the Latin name asimina tribola, though both are medicinal plants.
Papaya leaf juice is claimed to have reversed cancer in many people living on
the Gold Coast in Australia . Harold W. Tietze in his book Papaya The Medicine Tree, describes how to make the juice and tells the stories of many cancer survivors who reportedly used the juice to get rid of their cancer.

The book contains the the following report that was published in the Gold Coast Bulletin. "PawPaw Cancer Plea Bears Fruit". Gold coast gardeners have responded to an appeal by cancer victims desperate to find supplies of pawpaw leaves. And the Gold Coast man who, 14 years ago, first exposed the leaves as a possible cure for cancer has been tracked down to a Labrador (Gold Coast) nursing home.

The story of how Stan Sheldon cured himself of cancer by drinking the boiled
extract of pawpaw leaves was first told in the Gold Coast Bulletin in 1978.
Now research in the United States has given scientific support to his claim,
isolating a chemical compound in the pawpaw tree which is reported to be a
million times stronger than the strongest anticancer drug.

Mr Sheldon, says the discovery does not surprise him. "I was dying from cancer in both lungs when it was suggested to me as an old Aboriginal remedy" he said. "I tried it for two months and then I was required to have a chest x-ray during those compulsory TB checks they used to have. They told me both lungs were clear." "I told my specialists and they didn't believe me until they had carried out their own tests." "Then they scratched their heads and recommended I carry on drinking the extract I boiled out of the papaw leaves."

That was in 1962. The cancer never recurred. Since then Mrs Sheldon has passed the recipe onto other cancer victims. "Sixteen of them were cured," he said. Mr Sheldon's involves boiling and simmering fresh pawpaw leaves and stems in a pan for two hours before draining and bottling the extract. He said the mixture could be kept in a refrigerator though it may ferment after three or four days."

"One man has been growing papaws and giving away the leaves to cancer victims ever since he read the Bulletin's original 1978 story about Mr Sheldon. "I have no doubt that it works," he said. "I know people walking around now who should have been dead according to their original cancer diagnosis. But the pawpaw treatment helped them to beat the cancer."

The recipe is as follows:
Wash and partly dry several medium-size papaya leaves. Cut them up like cabbage and place them in a saucepan with 2 quarts/ litres of water. Bring the water and leaves to the boil and simmer without a lid until the water is reduced by half.

Strain the liquid and bottle in glass containers.

The concentrate will keep in the refrigerator for three to four days. If it
becomes cloudy, it should be discarded.

The recommended dosage in the original recipe is 3 Tablespoons/ 50ml
three times a day. It is recommended to read Papaya The Medicine Tree for the interesting stories of "incurable" people who have used this extract to beat
their cancer, and for other medicinal uses of papaya.

A letter from R.J.W.:

"… I was inspired to send some leaves to a few people dying from cancer. The first, a banana grower aged 40, had two operations on his bladder for cancer which did not prevent metastasis. I placed him on a very simple diet consistingof zero junk food, fresh living food with no preservatives, white flour, sugar, colorings or additives and told him to "stuff a handful of pawpaw leaves into a saucepan and fill with water. Boil, simmer for one hour and drink it till incomes out of your ears." He did so and five weeks had no trace of cancer whatsoever."

The leaves have also been reported successful used when dried and ground. The astonishing effects of the pawpaw have also been proved in tests on mice. The results were very impressive; tumors found in humans were being injected in mice and during treatment with papaw were disappearing.

Pawpaw twigs contain acetogenins - active compounds that modulate the production of ATP in mitochondria of specific cells - which affects the viability of specific cells and the growth of blood vessels that nourish them.
A recent clinical study with over 100 participants showed that the pawpaw
extract, containing a mixture of acetogenins, supports the body's normal cells
during times of cellular stress. Since 1976 Dr. McLaughlin, professor at Purdue University, at the request of National Cancer Institute, lead a team of two other professors in studying the effectiveness of herbs on tumors.
Pawpaw proved to be the most effective out of about 3,500 plants. Dr. McLaughlin found around 50 biologically active ingredients in this plant. Acetogenins are the medically effective ingredients of this herb.

Acetogenins found in pawpaw have been shown to have dramatic biological
activity, being active against worms, some viruses, fungi, and many cancer cell lines. When compared with conventional chemotherapy agents, they have worked comparably in cell culture and animal studies, but at far lower concentrations and with almost no toxicity to host animals.

Dr. McLaughlin says that pawpaw is also effective in the fight against tumors,
actually against any type of abnormalities which involve faster than normal cell growth. Pawpaw can be used as a support during Chemotherapy and radiation. Tests revealed that pawpaw makes these therapies more effective, and reduces their side effects.

"Pawpaw is very effective on its own. It typically doesn't need any supporting
supplements. There are however, products that may be used in increasing the pawpaw's effectiveness. The products are Noni, Immune Stimulator, Colo strums, and Protease Plus (especially when fighting a digestive tract or intestinal tumor).

However, pawpaw should not be used with any kind of thyroid simulators (e.g.:KC-X) or with CoQ10 (co enzyme Q10). For cancer patients taking Laetrile, it is important to consume paw paw and pineapple each day, as the natural enzyme strips the coating on the cancer cells, so that the B17 in the kernels canwork."

Dengue Fever Remedy

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the ICU when his blood platelet count drops to 15 after 15 liters of blood transfusion.

His father was so worried that he seeks another friend's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he gave his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a platelet count of 45 after 20 liters of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his platelet count jumps instantly to135. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he asked me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2pcs just cleaned and pound and squeeze with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So two tablespoonful serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will loose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap. It is very bitter
and you have to swallow it like "Wong Low Kat". But it works.

*Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue*

You may have heard this elsewhere but if not I am glad to inform you that papayajuice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant now, Ithink it's good to share this with all.

A friend of mine had dengue last year. It was a very serious situation for her
as her platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after 3 days in hospital and waterhas started to fill up her lung. She had difficulty in breathing. She was only32-year old. Doctor says there's no cure for dengue. We just have to wait for her body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle. She already had 2 blood transfusion and all of us were praying very hard as her platelet continued to drop since the first day she was admitted.

Fortunately her mother-in-law heard that papaya juice would help to reduce the fever and got some papaya leaves, pounded them and squeeze the juice out for her. The next day, her platelet count started to increase, her fever subside. We continued to feed her with papaya juice and she recovered after 3 days!!!

Amazing but it's true. It's believed one's body would be overheated when one isdown with dengue and that also caused the patient to have fever papaya juice has cooling effect. Thus, it helps to reduce the level of heat in one's body, thus the fever will go away. I found that it's also good when one is having sore throat or suffering from heat.

Please spread the news about this as lately there are many dengue cases. It's great if such natural cure could help to ease the sufferings of dengue
patients.

Furthermore it's so easily available. Blend them and squeeze the juice! It's
simple and miraculously effective!!
